Saturday, 4th May, 2019.

On behalf of the Memories of Mogadishu initiative, we are very pleased to present to you the Memories of Mogadishu Conference on May 4th, 2019. In partnership with the Ottawa Art Gallery, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), MCIS Language Solutions, the Oral History Association (OHA), the Catholic Centre for Immigrants, Carleton University, TakingITGlobal and Concordia University, this conference will explore the use of oral history and digital archives in preserving cultural heritage and collective memory in post-conflict societies.

Join us at the Ottawa Art Gallery on May 4th, 2019 from 9:30AM to 5:00PM as we bring together Somali diaspora from around the world (Kenya, United Kingdom, Italy and Canada) to explore the use of oral history, memory, and migration.
