UEL Poetry Reading Club is happy to annunced our Summer Poetry program: “Poetry Beyond Boundaries”

A collaboration between: @NewhamPoetryGrp, UEL Archives, and the Centre for Narrative Research (CNR)

Thanks to the generous donation of a full collection of poetry, as well as fiction, criticism and theory from the estate of the poet and translator Sarah Maguire, UEL archives now have an amazing poetry collection in different languages, styles and publication types.

Four montly workshops:

UEL docklands campus:
Archive room: Archive room – DL-G.02
Time: 4-6pm
The events include writing activities.

Free entry but booking in highly recommended.

May 10th
LGBTQ voices
Reading poems from members of the lgbtq community
Special guest who represent them.

June 21st
Refugee voices
Reading poems from members of refugee’s community
Special guest who represent them.

July 26th
Black – Mixed voices
Reading poems from members of the black-mixed race community
Special guest who represent them.

Aug. 16th
Non-English speaker’s voices
Reading poems in differents languages
Special guests
